Donald E. Wilson, age 65, of Fayetteville, Ark., passed away Thursday, Aug. 8, 2013, at his home in Fayetteville. He was born Sept. 9, 1947, in McAlester, Okla., to Ervin Luther Wilson and Ann Dudark Wilson. He was an attorney, electrical engineer, golfer, pilot, musician and U.S. Air Force veteran of the Vietnam Conflict. He graduated from Arkansas Tech University with the highest honors with an electrical engineering degree. He also received a juris doctorate from the University of Arkansas. He was preceded in death by his father; brothers, David Wilson and Tim Wilson; and grandson, Zack Hagan. He is survived by his wife, Barbara Wilson; mother, Ann O'Neal of Siloam Springs, Ark.; seven children, Cathy Taylor of Benton, Ark., Cary Lee Wilson of Memphis, Tenn., Ben Korte of Morganton, S.C., Bret Hagan of Springdale, Ark., Ruthie Hagan Layman of Memphis, Tenn., Amanda Wilson Barbosa of Hanford, Calif., Michael Wilson of Springdale, Ark.; two sisters, Wanda Holland of Siloam Springs, Ark., Sue May of Yellville, Ark.; and 13 grandchildren. Rosary will be Aug. 12, 2013, from 5 to 6 p.m., with a visitation to follow from 6 to 8 p.m. at Nelson-Berna Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at noon on Tuesday, Aug. 13, 2013, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Fayetteville, with Father Les Farley officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Memorial Gardens.
