Scottie Gene Marcum, 47, of Bentonville died Wednesday, Aug. 7, 2013, at Washington Regional Hospital. He was born June 16, 1966, in Lebanon, Mo., to Carl Gene Marcum and Phyllis Ilene Decker Marcum. He was a polisher at Superior Industries in Rogers for 17-and-a-half years. He was a Christian, enjoyed racing cars, riding his motorcycle, dirt roading, singing karaoke, hunting, fishing, camping and antiquing. He is preceded in death by his father. Survivors are two daughters, Summer Marie Marcum of Bentonville, Misty Gene Marcum of Garfield; two stepsons, Jeremy Avery Griffith and Joshua Daniel Griffith of Garfield; his mother, Phyllis Marcum of Pea Ridge; one sister, Delisha Gazaway and husband, Tim, of Bentonville; two nephews, Josh Kitterman and wife, Courtney, and Nick Kitterman and wife, Leanne; and his special friend, Beth Smola of Bentonville. Service is set for 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 10, at Sisco Funeral Chapel in Pea Ridge, with Richard and Wade Decker officiating. Burial will be at Pea Ridge Cemetery.
