Faron Ray Smith

Faron Ray Smith of Bentonville passed away at his home on May 29, 2013. He was born Dec. 7, 1965, in Norman, Okla., to Jimmy Ray Smith and Gloria Dean Smith. Faron was a gifted interior decorator and co-owner of Faron Designs. He donated his time and services to numerous area civic organizations, including Preserving Our History (the schoolhouse on Second Street), Lifeline of Northwest Arkansas, Havenwood and the Children's Museum. He was past chairman of the Havenwood Advisory Council and the Northwest Arkansas Designer Home. He was a member of All Saints' Episcopal Church in Bentonville. Faron is survived by his partner of 17 years, Tom Morris; daughter, Erica Smith of Norman, Okla.; son, Aaron Smith of the home; mother, Gloria Dean Smith of Noble, Okla.; and two sisters, Shana Reed and husband, Shelby, of Harrah, Okla., and Nicole Smith of Lexington, Okla.; and numerous other devoted friends and family members. A memorial service for Faron will be held at All Saints' Episcopal Church in Bentonville Saturday, Aug. 10, at 7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the All Saints' Episcopal Church building fund or a charity of your choice.
