Howard Earl Hearson, 84, of Garfield died Sunday, April 28, 2013, at his home. He was born July 29, 1928, in Parsons, Kan., to Perry Earl Hearson and Bernice Maude Murray Hearson. He was self-employed as a financial advisor and worked in Kansas, Oklahoma, Missouri, Tennessee, Texas, New Mexico and Arkansas. He grew up with a love for Harley's and Cobalt boats, and enjoyed water-skiing and being on the water. He loved all types of music, especially listening to Merle Haggard on his stereo system. He always made his wife number one in his life; he loved his family and was always the peacemaker. He attended Whitney Mountain Chapel; and is preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Darlene Williams; and one brother, Gayle Hearson. Survivors are his wife, Brenda Hearson of the home; four children, Vicki Louise Grover and husband, Joseph, of Coffeyville, Kan., Diane Marie Walstrom and husband, Brad, of Olathe, Kan., Ken Landon and wife, Dedra, of Bartlesville, Okla., and Kelly Symons and husband, Tim, of Avilla, Ark.; one brother, Lester Hearson and wife, Patricia, of Crawfordsville, Ind.; nine grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. Memorials may be made to Good Shepherd Humane Society, P.O. Box 285, Eureka Springs, AR 72632; or Circle of Life Hospice, 901 Jones Road, Springdale, AR 72762. Cremation arrangements are by Sisco Funeral Home of Pea Ridge. A memorial service is set for Thursday, May 2, 1 p.m. at Whitney Mountain Chapel in Garfield, with Pastor Allan Tyson officiating.
