Wilma Jean Lee McCool, 87 of Fayetteville, Ark., passed away Friday, April 26, 2013, in Fayetteville. She was born June 20, 1925, in Ozark, Ark., to Walter Standridge and Velma (Armstrong) Standridge. She graduated from Ozark High School and married Eugene Lee. They moved to Fayetteville, Ark., in the '50s. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church and was a homemaker. She enjoyed cooking, sewing, bridge club, Jr. Civic League, volunteering for American Cancer Society and the Democratic Party. She was preceded in death by Eugene in 1986. She married John McCool in 1993 and enjoyed many years at Butterfield Trail Village. John preceded her in death in 2012. She is survived by two children, Robert "Bob" Lee of Farmington, Ark., Cheri Kimbrough of Fayetteville, Ark.; five grandchildren, Brenda Bryant, Randy Lee, Cindy Kimbrough, Amanda Kimbrough, and Hannah Kimbrough, and two great-grandchildren. A private family graveside was held at Fairview Memorial Gardens. The family wishes to sincerely thank the caregivers at Butterfield Trail Village for their many years of excellent and dedicated care she received in her final years.
