Daniel Lee 'Pops' Cargill Sr.

Daniel Lee "Pops" Cargill Sr., 58, of Elkins passed away Saturday, April 20, 2013, in Fayetteville. He was born Oct. 20, 1954, in Martinez, Calif., the son of Harold Lee and Janice Bradley Cargill. He served in the United States Army and was of the Christian faith. Preceded in death by one son, Thomas Doyle Cargill; parents and two brothers. Survivors include his children, Daniel Lee Cargill Jr. and wife, Aleta of Elkins, and Megan Cargill of Oklahoma; one sister, Sharon Cargill three grandchildren, Heaven, Brayden and Adalynn. Graveside Services will be 2 p.m. Thursday, April 25, 2013, at Mount Salem Cemetery with the Rev. Johnny Drummond officiating. Visitation will be from 5-7 p.m. Wednesday at Beard's Funeral Chapel. Honorary pallbearers are Jeremiah Braswell, Eddie Mount, Edward Mount, Joe Hendrix, Joe Pollock, Ryan Neil and Richard Davenier.
