Alice Janie Ward

Alice Janie Ward, 83, of Bella Vista passed away April 13, 2013, in Bentonville. She was born Feb. 25, 1930, in Muskogee, Okla., the daughter of Wallace and Vilian Gilpin Hall. She was a caregiver, a member of the Pentecostal Church. She enjoyed crochet and knitting and was an avid reader. Preceded in death by her husband, Wattie Ward; daughter and son-in-law, Glenda and Jimmy Arnold; brothers, Carl, Floyd, Alfred, Earl, Noel, Joel and Lonnie Hall; sisters, Lottie and Mary Sexton, Margie Ward. Survived by her children, Mary Pierce, and Charles and wife, Jean Ward, all of Rogers; sisters, Audrey Booth and Linda Battenfield; five grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Saturday, April 20, 2013, at Old Green Cemetery in Westville, Okla.
