Marcheta Isabelle Dietzen, 85, of Springdale, Ark., passed away Sunday, April 14, 2013, in Rogers, Ark. She was born March 16, 1928, in Oak Park, Ill., to Peter Gudiksen Dahl and Dorothy Isabelle (Audiss) Dahl. She was a homemaker, and a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Fayetteville, where she had sang in the choir for 30 years and was a member of the Altar Guild. She loved to travel and attend cultural events. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, John Dietzen; son, Steven Dietzen; and grandson, Blake Dietzen. She is survived by four children, Michael Dietzen and wife, Bonnie, of Rogers, Ark., Pastor Kris Dietzen and husband, Pastor Fred Schmidt, of Olathe, Kan., Linda Dietzen of Springdale, Ark., Julie Penley, Ph.D., and husband, Howard, of El Paso, Texas; and two grandsons, Marcus and Mitchell Dietzen, both of Rogers, Ark. Services will be held 11 a.m., Friday, April 19, 2013, at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church in Fayetteville with Pastor Clint Schnekloth and Pastor Kris Dietzen officiating. Burial will follow at a later date at Mount Emblem Cemetery in Elmhurst, Ill. Memorial contributions may be made to Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 2925 Old Missouri Road, Fayetteville, AR 72703.
