Fairy B. Garrett

Fairy B. Garrett, 90, died April 13, 2013, in Siloam Springs. She was born on Feb. 26, 1923, in Bearden, Okla., to the late Jacob T. and Lula Bell (Minter) Cross. She was the loving wife of the late Charlie A. Garrett, who passed in 2001. Fairy enjoyed doing crafts, writing poetry, singing, songwriting, and playing the guitar and piano. She was an avid artist, seamstress, gardener and canner, a farmer's wife. Fairy was known throughout her family and friends for her famous biscuits. She attended the Decatur Seventh-day Adventist Church and the Assembly of God Church in Gravette, and was a past member of the Bethel Heights Assembly of God near Gentry. She is survived by her sons, Lanny and Snooky Garrett of Gravette, Larry and Doris Garrett of Siloam Springs, Lyndle and Carla Garrett of California, Leonard Garrett of Sulphur Springs, and Luke and Dee Garrett of Bentonville; brother, J.T. Cross of Oklahoma; seven grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her siblings, Charlie Cross, Frank Cross, Lawrence Cross, Violet Williams, Luther Cross and Ruby Poole. Her service will be Thursday, April 18, 2013, at 11 a.m. at the Assembly of God Church in Gravette. Burial will follow at Coffelt Cemetery in Vaughn. Visitation will be Wednesday, April 17, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Callison-Lough Funeral Home, Bentonville. Online condolences can be made at www.callisonlough.com.
