Ralph W. Barbee

Ralph W. Barbee was born to Walter and Nancy Barbee on Sept. 16, 1929, in Goodlett, Texas. He passed away on April 12, 2013, Rogers, Ark. He studied engineering at Texas Tech. He married Barbara Siders on Oct. 18, 1952. He served in the Korean War. He was the father of David and Elizabeth, an uncle and more to seven nieces and nephews, a grandfather to four and great-grandfather to two great-grandsons. He was preceded in death by both of his parents. Ralph founded Barbee Equipment Company in Rogers some 30 years ago. He was a deacon and Sunday school teacher, most recently at First Baptist Church in Rogers. To his family he was a leader and provider — a story teller, a teacher, an advisor and example. "A good name is to be chosen rather than great riches, Loving favor rather than silver and gold." Proverbs 22:1 Funeral service will be held at Rollins Funeral Home Chapel on Monday, April 15, at 11:30 a.m. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 10:30 a.m. until service time. Interment will follow at Benton County Memorial Park in Rogers. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to First Baptist Church building fund in Rogers.
