James Foster Patterson

James Foster Patterson, age 81, of Lowell passed away April 7, 2013. James was born Nov. 19, 1931, in Wellman, Iowa, to parents James Walter Patterson and Wilma Lucile Foster Patterson. As a young man, James served in the U.S. Air Force as a pilot during the Korean War. He worked also for many years as a truck driver. James was active at his church, and enjoyed football and volunteering at Meals on Wheels and as a bus driver. James was preceded in death by his wife, Joan; and parents. He is survived by his son, James E. Patterson and wife, Kim, of Peoria, Ariz.; daughter, Debra M. Hanks and husband, Jim, of Peoria, Ariz.; brothers, Don, Bob and Marion; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends. Private family services will be held at a later date. Arrangements are with Benton County Memorial Park, 3800 W. Walnut of Rogers.
