Loyd L. Carothers

Loyd L. Carothers, 75, of Hiwasse passed away April 9, 2013, in Bentonville. Loyd was born Jan. 16, 1938, in Bristo, Okla., the son of Christian Henry and Maude Wilson Carothers. He was a diesel mechanic for Mid Continent Concrete, a member of the Assembly of God Church and served in the United States Navy. His wife, Frances Pauline Carothers, preceded him in death; and one great-grandson. Survived by his children, Paula Jean Carrier and husband, Ward Lane, of Gravette, Debra Lynn Messersmith and husband, Donald, of Bentonville, Loyd Christian Carothers of Bentonville and Anthony Leon Carothers of Hiwasse; 10 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Thursday, April 11, 2013, at Mount Pleasant Cemetery near Gravette. Online condolence to www.bentoncountyfuneralhome.com.
