He was preceded in death by his father and mother, Orville and Jesse Caudle; sister, Mary Sue Caudle; grandson, Nicholas Dewayne Caudle; granddaughter, Tiffany Dawn Caudle; grandson, Colin Lee Caudle; and grandson, Caleb Eugene Caudle. Carl married Patricia Ann Drain at the age of 21 and had three children. He worked 14 years at the City of Fayetteville before moving his family to Oklahoma in February of 1979, where he began his career as a roofer. He was very skilled in construction trades and woodworking. He loved educating others in his field and was looked upon as a mentor. Carl loved his family and had a very sweet and kind heart, showing this at a very young age while helping his mother to raise his younger siblings as his father made a living as a truck driver. Carl and Betty met in 1993 and fell in love immediately. They were together 20 years and were the best of friends. Betty never left his side as his health declined and took exceptional care of him. Carl will be missed by his family and friends greatly. A Note of Thanks: Betty Jo Caudle and our family would like to express special thanks to Excel Home Health, who have a special place in our hearts for the care they have administered for our loved one. Thank you. Services will be held at The Well, 3162 W. MLK Blvd., Fayetteville, 2 p.m. Thursday, April 11 with burial to follow at Blackburn Cemetery of Winslow.
