Kirk Wayne Sheneman, age 55, passed away on March 21, 2013. He was born in Frankfurt, Germany, on Dec. 9, 1957. As a small child, Kirk's family moved to Bella Vista, Ark., where he grew up and went to school. Kirk was the first born son of Beverly Jean and Wayne Edgar Sheneman. He has one brother, Terry Lane Sheneman. Kirk graduated from Bentonville High School in 1976 in Northwest Arkansas. Soon after, he moved to Fulton, Mo., where he was a pipe fitter foreman at Callaway Nuclear Plant. Also during his employment, he took classes towards a degree in nuclear/mechanical engineering. He worked for approximately 20 years in plumbing, pipefitting, and eventually, power plant construction and operation. After moving to California in 1983, he obtained his contractor state license in plumbing and started his own plumbing corporation. In 1994, Kirk moved to Lassen County where he attended Lassen Community College and obtained his AA degree in power plant/field pipe welding and steam power operations. He then began teaching at Lassen Community College in steam power, welding and blacksmithing. Kirk loved the outdoors and rode his Harley motorcycle every chance he got. He enjoyed camping, fishing and woodcutting. He loved animals, and had a small critter farm, as he called it, where he took in stray animals of all sorts. Kirk loved people and no one was a stranger to him. He would give the shirt off his back if he thought someone needed it. Kirk and his wife, Della, had three children, his son, Joshua Welborn Sheneman, Derrick Vincent Noah and Karina Leanna Noah. Kirk has survived alongside his wife, Della Noah Sheneman of Janesville, Calif.; mother, Beverly Jean Sheneman of Palm Desert, Calif.; his brother, Terry Sheneman of Austin, Texas; and his three children, Joshua Sheneman of Sacramento Calif., Derrick Noah of Susanville, Calif., and Karina Noah Green of Abilene, Texas. Kirk was preceded in death one week before by his father, Wayne Edgar Sheneman on March 14, 2013. Memorial services will be held at the Janesville Log Cabin Baptist Church at 10 a.m. on Saturday, April 6, 2013, to be followed by a graveside service at the Janesville cemetery.
