Gladys Fay Forsythe

Gladys Fay Forsythe, age 91, of Bentonville, died Nov. 27, 2012, at Circle of Life Hospice at Legacy Village in Bentonville. She was born in Mason Valley on Aug. 24, 1921, to Charles and Lula Viola (Brandon) Halley. She worked for Cooper Communities, and later Tyson Foods, and as a housekeeper. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Virgel Forsythe, who died in 1984; and sisters, Violet Johnson, Pearl Mercer and Meryl Martin. Survivors include her daughter, Gladys Gaffield of Pea Ridge; granddaughter, Tammy (Gaffield) Harris of Pea Ridge; great-grandson Bobby Sligar of Bentonville; and great-great-grandchildren, Kayla and Jake. Visitation will be 5 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 29, 2012, at Callison-Lough Funeral Home in Bentonville. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday in the Chapel of Callison-Lough Funeral Home, Bentonville, officiated by Pastor Orville Brandon. Burial will follow in Bentonville Cemetery.
