Dr. Alfred Wesley "A.W." Renfroe Sr., DVM, 78, of Conway, passed away Saturday, Nov. 24, 2012 in Conway. He was born Thursday, Dec. 21, 1933 in Ft. Towsen, Okla. to the late George and Ara Adams Renfroe. Dr. Renfroe was a graduate of Oklahoma A&M University, now Oklahoma State University. He was a veterinarian since 1959, he was a conceal carry instructor, a volunteer hunter education instructor for the Arkansas Game and Fish. He loved deer hunting and telling stories. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army Reserve serving in the Veterinarian Corps. He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife of 47 years, Virginia L Simpson Renfroe; sons, Todd A. Renfroe (Danielle) of Fayetteville, Ark. and A.W. "Butch" Renfroe Jr. (Debbie) of Conway; daughters, Janet Carlton of Russellville, Ark., Pat Hill (Tim) of Beebe, Ark. and Sandra Weaver (David) of Coconut Creek, Florida; 13 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Visitation will be 9-10 a.m., Tuesday, Nov. 27, 2012 in the Chapel of Roller-McNutt Funeral Home-Conway (501)327-7727. A memorial service will follow at 10 a.m. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to the American Cancer Society or the American Diabetes Association.
