Carolyn J. Cure, 87, died Nov. 19, 2012, in Rogers, Ark. She was born on Aug. 1, 1925, to the late Waldo V. Hoch and Matilda K. (Kelsen) Cure in Council Bluffs, Iowa. She was the loving wife of Earl R. Cure for over 70 years. Mrs. Cure was an active woman and belonged to the Bland Chapel Exercise Group, Busy Bees and was the activities director for the Rocky Branch Fire Department for seven years. She was an avid fan of the Razorback football and basketball teams and loved watching John Daily play golf. She is survived by her husband, Earl of Rogers; son, David W. and his wife, Paula Cure, of Hastings, Neb.; daughter, Carol L. and her husband, Bill Dappen, of Rogers; four grandchildren, Ryan (Donna) Cure and children, Daria, Jackson, Carlen and Leiana of Charlotte, N.C., Laura (Todd) Matthias and children, Tyce and Tylan of Hastings, Neb., Tyler (Amber) Marr and children, Navien and Oliver of Rogers, Shannon (Ed) Jones and children, Karli Snyder and Rhett Snyder of Big Cabin, Okla. She is preceded in death by her siblings, Robert Hoch, Blaine Hoch, Edna Fort, Helen Jackson and Fern VanLeuvan. A private memorial is being held.
