John Francis Fritschen

John Francis Fritschen, age 84, of Rogers, passed away Friday, Nov. 16, 2012, at Northwest Medical Center. He was born in Salina, Kan., on Feb. 25, 1928, to parents John and Clara Helen (Budke) Fritschen. John was an avid sports fan, and worked as an agricultural economist with the Economic Research Service before retiring to the Rogers area in 1984. He served his country in the U.S. Air Force. Survivors include his beloved wife of 60 years, Pat (Pirotte) Fritschen; his children, Michael Fritschen and wife Lorraine of Denver, Colo., Janet Fritschen of Sedona, Ariz., John Fritschen and wife Peggy of Healdsburg, Calif., Steven Fritschen and wife Pamela of Novi, Mich., Daniel Fritschen and wife Barbara of Sunnyvale, Calif.; a brother, Leo Fritschen and wife Eloise of Seattle, Wash.; brother-in-law, Earl Shinogel of Plains, Kan.; and nine grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, and a sister, Eleanor Shinogel. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Monday, Nov. 19, 2012, at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church. Cremation arrangements are by Rollins Funeral Home of Rogers.
