Melva Alyne Cobb

Melva Alyne Cobb, 89, of Springdale, Ark., died Nov. 14, 2012, at Shiloh Nursing & Rehab, Springdale, Ark. Born May 11, 1923, in Perry, Ark., she was the daughter of James Elmer Bostain and Rutha Viola Evans Bostain. She moved from Dodge City, Kan., in 1962 and was a homemaker most of her life. On Oct. 12, 1943, she married Burdell Olzo Cobb in Vallejo, Calif. She was preceded in death by one son, Rodney Cobb. Survivors include her husband, Burdell of the home; two sons, Steven Dale Cobb and wife, Martha, of Henryetta, Okla., and Don Cobb and wife, Reba, of Springdale, Ark.; five grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; one brother, James Earl Bostain of San Bernardino, Calif.; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 17, 2012, at Wasson Memorial Chapel, Siloam Springs, Ark., with Pastor Dennis Taylor officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery.
