Buel Clarence Griffin

Buel Clarence Griffin, better known as "Griff," 87 years of age and Bella Vista, Ark., resident, passed away peacefully on Nov. 9, 2012, in his home he shared with his loving friends and caretakers, Danny and Janet Strong. Buel was born in Spickard, Mo., on Dec. 1, 1924, to Clarence and Alma Griffin. He was one of eight children. He spent 28 years serving his country in the United States Navy. While in the Navy, Buel met his wife, Sheila Elizabeth McKeown. They married on Aug. 4, 1956, in Northern Ireland. Buel cherished spending time with family and friends. Buel is survived by one son, Gregory Griffin of Bella Vista, Ark.; two daughters, Louise Kolle and spouse Greg Kolle of Citrus Heights, Calif., Sheila Robinson and spouse William Robinson of Bella Vista, Ark.; one sister, Delores Nigh of Kansas City, Kan., eight grandchildren and many great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews. Buel is preceded in passing by his loving wife, Sheila Elizabeth Griffin; three brothers, Wayne (Ben), Charles (Junior), and Justin; three sisters, Ardith Hartman, Averil Reddington, and Doris Ruossell and one great-granddaughter, Georgia Marie Farrer. With his personal acceptance of Christ as his savior, his family is confident and looks forward to the day that they will be joined with him again in Heaven. Funeral arrangements have been made at Whitaker-Eads Funeral Home in Trenton, Mo. Services will be held at Resthaven Mortuary on Tuesday, Nov. 13, 2012, at 11 a.m. Buel will be laid to rest at Martin Cemetery in Trenton, Mo.
