Ray Flynn Cole

Ray Flynn Cole, 90, of Rogers, Ark., died Wednesday, Nov. 7, 2012, at Mercy Hospital in Rogers. He was born Nov. 17, 1921, in Adel, Iowa, to Bert Ellis Cole and Mary W. Robinson Cole. He proudly serviced in the United States Army. He was the owner of Ray's Radio & TV Service in Des Moines, Iowa, for 50 years. He also was a voluntary deputy sheriff in Des Moines. When Ray moved to Rogers six years ago, he became a member of the Coin Club. He was a faithful member of Grace United Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by one brother. Ray is survived by one daughter, Deborah Sawyer and husband, Bob, of Brighton, Mich.; two sisters, Esther Lane of Escondido, Calif., Lois Long and husband, Norman, of Yucaipa, Calif.; and three grandchildren, Kelly, Kim and Haley Sawyer; several nieces and nephews; and dear friend, Darlene Timmons. Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 11, 2012, at Grace United Methodist Church in Rogers, with the Rev. Zach Underwood officiating.
