Billy Ward Duncan

Billy Ward Duncan, 87, of Booneville passed away on Thursday, Nov. 8, 2012, in his home. He was a member of Central Baptist Church in Fort Smith and a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II. He was retired from Swepco. He was preceded in death by his wife, Geraldine; and a son, John Wayne Duncan. Survivors include two brothers, Ron Duncan and his wife, Gloria, of Santa Fe, N.M., and James Duncan of Wagoner, Okla.; a sister-in-law, Ellene Hunt of Booneville; two nephews, Ervan Hunt and his wife, Donna, of Booneville and Dale Duncan and his wife, Sharon, of Wagoner, Okla.; one niece, Vanessa Duncan of Casa Blanca; one granddaughter, Lisa Hash of Fort Smith; and one great-grandson, John David Hash of Fort Smith. Services will be 2 p.m. today at McConnell Funeral Home Chapel, with burial at Hartford Memorial Park Cemetery, under the direction of McConnell Funeral Home in Greenwood. Family will visit with friends from 1-2 p.m. today at the funeral home.
