Mary Lou Keplar Drew

Mary Lou Keplar Drew, age 80, of Rogers, Ark., and formerly of El Dorado, Kan., passed away Saturday, Nov. 3, 2012, at the Veterans Health Care System of the Ozarks in Fayetteville, Ark. Mary was born in El Dorado, Kan., on June 2, 1932, to Edward and Mildred (Hartgrove) Keplar. Mary served her country in the United States Air Force during the Korean conflict and received an honorable discharge. She enjoyed playing Bingo and dominoes, going to the casinos, embroidering and ceramics, and she will be missed very much. Preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Connie Jernigan; three brothers, Robert, Billy and Bob Keplar; and one sister, Ruby Keplar; Mary is survived by two daughters, Beth Payton of St. Louis, Mo., Toni Scykes-Baker of Kansas; three sons, James Jernigan of El Dorado, Kan., Luke Jernigan of Wichita, Kan., Troy Jernigan of Joplin, Mo.; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other relatives; family members wish to add a very special thank you to Bernice and Randy Schatz at Veterans Home Health Care in Rogers, Ark., for taking care of Mary Drew for the last 2-1/2 years of her life. Graveside inurnment services will be 3 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 10, 2012, at the Walnut Valley Cemetery in El Dorado, Kan. Online tributes to the family may be made at www.bentoncountymemorialpark.com.
