Richard "Dick" Thompson

Richard G. "Dick" Thompson, age 83, of Pine Bluff, died Wednesday, October 31, 2012. A son of the late William and Gladys Thompson, he grew up in Little Rock, where he played basketball and American League baseball. For 29 years, he worked for Arkansas Mill Supply Company, and later as bookkeeper and activities director at First Baptist Church. Dick's survivors include his wife, Ann Sledge Thompson; daughters, Katherine Thompson Stafford of Fayetteville, Jean Thompson Eubanks of Southaven, Miss., and Sally Thompson Mukai (Craig) of Novato, Calif.A; brother, Will Thompson; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and many loving friends. A Memorial Service will be Saturday, 2 p.m. at First Baptist Church. Arrangements are by Fuller Hale-South Funeral Services. Memorials may be made to First Baptist Church, 6501 S.
