Rodney Carl Cobb

Rodney Carl Cobb, 57, of Gentry, Ark., passed away March 29, 2012, at Northwest Medical Center, Bentonville, Ark. Born May 28, 1954, in San Diego, Calif., he was the son of Burdell Cobb and Melva Bostain Cobb. He moved to Gentry when he was a child and spent the rest of his life there. He was a professional truck driver. Rodney was a member of Cornerstone Missionary Baptist Church, Bentonville, Ark. He was an accomplished pianist and loved his music. On Sept. 2, 1994, he married Lois Whitaker in Gentry, Ark. Survivors include his wife Lois of the home; his parents, Burdell and Melva Cobb of Springdale, Ark.; three stepsons, Preston Williams of Shawnee, Kan., Steven Williams of Decatur, Ark., and Tim Williams of Harrison, Ark.; two brothers, Steve Cobb and wife, Martha, of Henrietta, Okla., and Don Cobb and wife, Reba, of Springdale, Ark.; and three step-grandchildren. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Monday, April 2, 2012, at Wasson Memorial Chapel, Siloam Springs, Ark., with Dennis Taylor officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery, Siloam Springs, Ark.
