Betty Ruth Funk

Betty Ruth Funk, 76, of Bella Vista, formerly of McLoud, Okla., passed away Wednesday, March 28, 2012, at Circle of Life Legacy Village. Betty was born May 17, 1935, in Childress, Texas, to the late George Thomas and Myrtle Florence (Scott) Owen. Betty was preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband, Vestal L. Funk; two brothers; and one sister. Survivors include her son, Thomas Funk and his wife, Susan, of Bella Vista; one brother, Robert Owen of Shawnee, Okla.; one sister, Linda Barrett of South Rock Creek, Okla.; and three grandchildren, Deidra Funk of Springdale, Jesse Funk of Tecumseh, Okla., and Heather Funk of Bella Vista. According to Betty's wishes, she will be cremated and her ashes scattered on her husband's grave in Oklahoma at a later date.
