Robert Benard "Benny" Allen

Robert Benard "Benny" Allen, 77, of Springdale, died Saturday, March 24, 2012, at Washington Regional Medical Center in Fayetteville. He was born Dec. 5, 1934, in Springdale, to Dean Copen and Leonora Hicken Allen. Benny was a member of Messiah Lutheran Church in Pea Ridge. Benny was a pilot and he loved to fly. He was an avid Razorback fan. He adored his grandchildren. He owned and operated Allen Brothers Masonry for many years. He was preceded in death by one sister, Linda Hild. Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Laura Allen of the home; one son, Robert Dean Allen of Anacortes, Wash.; three daughters, Cindy Webb and husband, Jack, of Elkins, Dorothy Mabry and husband, Danny, of Springdale, and Becky Harris and husband, Mike, of San Antonio, Texas; two brothers, Leon Allen of Springdale and Phillip Allen of Springdale; three sisters, Renelda Hebert of Springdale, Connie Marshall of Oklahoma City and Kathleen Ginotti of Kensington, Conn.; 10 grandchildren, Heather Tuck, Crystal Walker and husband, Ben, Corey Mabry and wife, Tiffany, Keith Allen and wife, Lek, Halley Lunderman and husband, Jake, Elijah Allen and Vanessa, Teagen Allen and Austin, Michael Jones and Travis Harris, Jason Bell; nine great-grandchildren, Cynthia, Josh, Isaac, Joel, Anna, Colton, Lucas, Delanie, Benny. Funeral services will be Thursday, March 29, 2012, at 2 p.m. at Salem Lutheran Church in Springdale. Burial will be in the Salem Lutheran Cemetery.
