Thurman Johnson

Thurman Johnson, 94, a lifelong resident of Springdale, died Wednesday, March 21, 2012, at Springdale. He was born Feb. 19, 1918, in Springdale, to Sam and Ollie Sisemore Johnson. He attended Revival Tabernacle in Springdale. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruby Warford Johnson; and one son, Lloyd Johnson. Survivors include two sons, Bobby Johnson and wife, Sandra, and Lenard Johnson and wife, Brenda; one daughter-in-law, Alice Johnson; seven grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; three sisters, Lena Johnson, Ona Mae Vaughn and Theda Keeney; and one brother, Bernice Johnson of Union, Ore. Graveside services will be Saturday, March 24, 2012, at 11 a.m. at Friendship Cemetery in Springdale, with the Rev. Paul Eden and the Rev. Loyd Johnston officiating.
