Wanda Mae Townsend

Wanda Mae Townsend, 79, of Bentonville, died March 20, 2012, in Bentonville. She was born April 22, 1932, in Bentonville to James and Martha "Mattie" Mattingly. Wanda is preceded in death by her parents; and a brother, Charles Eugene Mattingly. Wanda was a member of the Park Street Baptist Church in Bentonville. She leaves behind her husband, James Townsend of the home; three sons, Dennis and Nancy Townsend of Pea Ridge, Buddy and Anita Townsend of Bentonville, and Tommy and Paula Townsend of Bentonville; a daughter, Linda Kay and Ronald Whittle of Anderson, Mo.; brothers, Ray and Betty Mattingly of Bentonville, and Bill and Kathy Mattingly of Centerton. She also leaves behind 15 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, March 22, 2012, at Rollins Funeral Home in Rogers. Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m. Friday, March 23, 2012, at Park Street Baptist Church in Bentonville. Services are under the direction of Rollins Funeral Home.
