Sara Shinault Day

Sara Shinault Day, 77, of Fayetteville, passed away Wednesday, March 14, 2012, in Fayetteville. She was born Jan. 17, 1935, in Shreveport, La., the daughter of Charles E. and Myrtle Williams Shinault. She was a member of St. Thomas and St. Joseph Catholic Churches; taught school at Farmington and Fayetteville for 20 years. She was preceded in death by three children, Linda Hauser, Sandra Mills and Jeffrey Day. Survivors include her three children, Marcus Day, Stephen Day Jr. and wife, Kate, of Raleigh, N.C., and Katy Inhofe and husband, Doug, of Tulsa, Okla.; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren. Private memorial services will be at a later date.
