Sally Frances Hooks

Sally Frances Hooks born Jan. 31, 1924, in Dallas County, Texas, passed away March 6, 2012, in Bella Vista, Ark. Frances was a much beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was preceded in death by her husband, Alfred Hooks; and granddaughter, Jennifer Hooks. Survived by sister, Geneva Joffre of Dallas, Texas; two sons, Orville Hooks and wife, Mary Ann, of Celeste, Texas, Michael Hooks and wife, Mary, of Bella Vista, Ark.; three grandchildren, Billy Hooks of Greenville, Texas, Lorie Vernor of Cuero, Texas, and Sarah Hooks of Bella Vista, Ark.; and three great-grandsons, Jordan, Jared and Caleb Vernor of Cuero, Texas. Frances spent many years living in Dallas working and raising her two sons along with her devoted husband. After retirement, she and Alfred relocated to Denison, Texas, where she enjoyed life, family and her church. Frances was a faithful member of the Church of the Nazarene in Denison and also a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. For the past five years she had resided in Bella Vista with her son, Michael, and his wife, Mary. Services were held on Friday, March 9, at Laurel Land Funeral Home in Dallas, Texas.
