Eva L. Reed

Eva L. Reed died suddenly on March 13, 2012, at Mercy Medical Center in Rogers of cardiac and respiratory complications. She was born on Oct. 31, 1931, in Garfield, Ark., to the late Owen V. and Lillie Ena (Snyder) Mitchell. Eva was a graduate of Rogers High School and had worked for Emerson Electric for 30 years. After retiring, she had traveled around the U.S. with her husband, Walter, and together they had enjoyed gardening. Eva was preceded in death by her husband after 49 years of marriage; and her brother, Kenneth Mitchell. She is survived by her sister, Sue Kennan of Rogers; her son, Walter E. Reed Jr. of Springdale; one granddaughter, Sarah Tamayo of Little Rock; and one great-grandson, Jacob Tamayo of Little Rock. The family wishes to extend their deep appreciation to staff of Mercy Medical Center for their excellent care and their compassion. A graveside funeral will be Thursday, March 15, 2012, at 10 a.m. in Rogers City Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are being conducted by Rollins Funeral Home.
