JoAnne R. Lehr

JoAnne R. "Jose" Lehr, a resident of Washburn, Mo., was born May 27, 1917, in Hutchinson, Kan., a daughter of Joseph and Edna (Walden) Ricks. She departed this life Sunday, March 11, 2012, in Cassville, Mo., at the age of 94 years. Jose is survived by one son, Richard Todd Lehr and wife Lavon of Washburn, Mo.; three sisters, Elizabeth Stockton of Holiday Island, Ark., Virginia Humphreys of Holiday Island, Ark., and Nellie Armstrong of Fayetteville, Ark.; eight grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and a host of other family and friends. On April 12, 1936, she was united in marriage with James M. "Dutch" Lehr who preceded her in death. She was also preceded by her parents, Joseph and Edna Ricks; one brother; and one son. Memorial services will be at 10 a.m. today, March 14, 2012, at the Holiday Island Community Church with the Rev. John Wallace and the Rev. Alan Thrasher officiating. Interment of cremains will be at Bluff Cemetery in Springdale, Ark. Arrangements are under the direction of Nelson Funeral Service.
