Marcella H. Wright, 91, passed away on Thursday, March 8, 2012, at Circle of Life Hospice in Springdale, Ark. She was born Oct. 24, 1920, to the late Daniel Jerome and Marcella Barbara (Toole) Hallisey in Aliquippa, Pa. Marcy supported the war effort by working in the shipyard in Tampa, Fla., during WWII. She eventually moved to Dallas, Texas, where she met Jim Sid Wright. They were married on Christmas Day 1949. In 1963, they took up residence in Albuquerque, N.M., where they lived for 40 years. In 2003, they moved to Wesley Woods Retirement Community in Newnan, Ga. Then in 2005, they moved in with family in Bentonville, Ark. She and "Jimbo" attended Calvary Chapel in the Ozarks Church. Jimbo passed away in December 2010. Besides her parents and husband, she was predeceased by her brother, James D. Hallisey; and sister, Ruth Halterlein. She is survived by her sister-in-law, Elizabeth J. Hallisey; niece, Barbara Michael Shira Greene and her husband, Carl; nephew, James P. Hallisey and his wife, Genise; numerous great- and great-great-nieces and nephews and some cousins. On Jimbo's side she is survived by his brother, Jack Wright, and his two children, Wayne and Mary Margaret. Marcy loved art and toured many of the world's finest art museums. She was thrilled to visit Bentonville, Ark.'s Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art three times after it opened in November 2011. A memorial service will be held at Calvary Chapel, 2100 W. Perry Road, Rogers, Ark., on Saturday, March 31, 2012, at 10 a.m. Jim and Marcy's ashes will be interred at Santa Fe, N.M., National Cemetery at a later date. Services are under the direction of Rollins Funeral Home.
