Ruby Mae Abel

Ruby Mae Abel, 93, a resident of Prairie Grove, passed away March 5, 2012 in Prairie Grove. She was born Nov. 23, 1918, in Yell County, Ark., the daughter of Charles and Pearl Taylor Haston. She was a graduate of the University of Arkansas and enjoyed teaching elementary students in the public school system. She was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Abel; and one son, Lynn Abel. Survivors include two sons, Adrian Abel and his wife, Virginia, of West Fork, Ark., and Troy Abel and his wife, Janis, of Fayetteville, Ark.; five grandchildren, Kelley Royal, Kasey Post, Mark Abel, Brian Abel and Darrell Abel; four great-grandchildren, Kristen, Natalie, A.J. and Amelia. At Ruby's request, no services will be held. Burial was in Zinnamon Cemetery in Strickler, Ark. Arrangements are under the direction of the Luginbuel Funeral Home of Prairie Grove, Ark.
