Carroll Gene Fultz-Fancher

Carroll Gene Fultz-Fancher, born Aug. 23, 1937, passed away Tuesday, March 6, 2012, at 74 years of age. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Crump Fancher and Nora Conner Ushrey; his parents, Ralph Fultz-Fancher and Cora Waldrop-Fultz; and a younger brother, Larry Leon Fancher. He is survived by six siblings, Carson Fultz of Bella Vista, Ark., and Daniel Fultz of Ozark, Mo., Mary Varney, Pat Cunha and Gayle Folliard of California and Margaret Zemak of Washington. Carroll leaves behind his loving wife of 50 years, Barbara Fultz, of the home, and five children, Laura Foster and Karen Buth of Bentonville, Ark., Betty Gregory of Branson, Mo., David Fultz of Gentry, Ark., and John Fultz of Perryville, Ark. Eleven grandchildren mourn his death, Keith Foster, Karl Buth, Krista Bulkeley, Joseph Buth, April Smith, Jacob Stroud, Kenny, Samantha, Levi, Moriah and Luke Fultz; as well as 12 great-grandchildren. Carroll was active all of his years working in maintenance for both the agriculture industry and later the Huntsville School District. He was active in the Madison County civil service as a storm watcher amateur radio operator and was an avid handyman, often working to better people's lives at the Huntsville Senior Center. Carroll was the most gentle of fathers and was dearly loved by all who knew him. Graveside services at Gobbler Cemetery in Carroll County, Ark., at 2 p.m. Friday March 9, under the direction of Brashears Funeral Home, www.brashearsfuneralhome.net, at Huntsville.
