Helen Ruth Capps Rondeau, died Monday at the Briarwood Nursing and Rehab in Little Rock. She was born August 1, 1924, Newcastle, St. Francis County, Arkansas. She was the daughter of the late Simon M. and Irene Capps and was the widow of John Harcourt Rondeau. She is survived by her sister, Sue Capps Meador and her nieces, Robbye Meador Taylor, Meredith Meador Karr and Allison Meador Alexander. Ruth was an accomplished artist, seamstress and decorator, starting her career at the Gus Blass Company in 1950, where she met her future husband, John, in the Display Department. Ruth became a model and buyer for the Gus Blass Company. Later, she opened Personally Yours, a bath and boudoir boutique in the Heights. She enjoyed designing, gardening, traveling with her husband and dog, reading and music. Services will be held Graveside, 2 p.m., Wednesday, at the Hughes Cemetery in Forrest City. The family wishes to thank Mary Mayall and all of the wonderful staff at Briarwood Nursing and Rehab Center. Also were very appreciative of the hospice workers who were so kind to Ruth.
