Frances E. Young

Frances E. Young, 86, of Rogers, Ark., passed away Friday, March 2, 2012, in Springdale, Ark. She was known by family and friends as "Fran" and lovingly referred to as "Nana" by her grandchildren. She was born July 9, 1925, in Denver, Colo., to the late William and Helen Bellamy. Survivors include her son, David Young and wife, Andrea, daughter, Pamela Daniel, and daughter-in-law, Marsha Young, all of Rogers. She is also survived by seven grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Fran was preceded in death by her parents; siblings; her husband, Leonard Young; and son, Gregory Young. Fran was an accomplished concert pianist and loved to play for her family and friends. She and Leonard were married over 63 years and raised their children in California. They moved to the Rogers area in the 1990s, where they enjoyed a home on Beaver Lake. Fran's wonderful sense of humor will be missed by all of her family and friends. A memorial service will be held at the home of Fran's daughter-in-law, Marsha Young, in Prairie Creek on Friday afternoon, March 9. Family and friends are welcome to attend to celebrate the life of this wonderful woman.
