Richard Newell Thompson, 85, of Bentonville, born June 3, 1926, in Lincoln, Neb. He passed away Feb. 25, 2012, in Bentonville. Survived by his wife, Lillian; daughters, Brenda Thompson and Beverly Grimditch; son, Richard (Rick) Thompson; three brothers; and four sisters. Private graveside service at Benton County Memorial Park Cemetery. Arrangements by Benton County Funeral Home, Rogers.
