Louise Scott, 87, of Springdale died Tuesday, Dec. 18, 2012, at the Maples at Har-Ber Meadows. She was born Aug. 16, 1925, in the Hickory Creek community to William Tell "Willie" and Minnie Marie Sigmon Eden. Louise was a local pioneer business woman. She founded the Northwest Arkansas Beauty School and owned and operated Louise's Beauty Shop in Springdale for 61 years. She also raised poodles for a number of years. She was a member of Revival Tabernacle Church where she was the organist and had a love of music. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas P. "Tommy" Scott in 1995. She is survived by two children, Dianne Monk of Springdale, Dana Scott and wife, Randi, of Rogers; two brothers, Billy Eden and wife, Juanette, Paul Eden and wife, Mary Ella, all of Springdale; a sister, Anna Jean Anderson and husband, Noel, of Springdale; three grandchildren, Leah DeVorak and husband, Jeremy, of Centerton, Joe Scott and wife, Diane, and Kendra Monk, all of Fayetteville; and three great-grandchildren, Mackenzie Scott, Madison Scott and Hattie DeVorak. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, Dec. 21, at Revival Tabernacle Church, with her brother Pastor Paul Eden officiating. Interment will be at Fayetteville National Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Heritage Funeral Home; online guest book at www.heritageofnwa.com.
