Jewell A. Damron

Jewell A. Damron, 99, of Springdale died Dec. 17, 2012, in Springdale. She was born Oct. 23, 1913, at Barber, Ark., to Clyde and Myrtle Cochran Presson. Jewell in her early years taught school. She later worked for Wilson's Department Store, Joyce's Drug and City Pharmacy. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clifton E. Damron; son, Michael Damron; two brothers; and three sisters. She is survived by daughter, Nell Underhill and husband Rex of Winslow; two brothers, Granville Presson of Ft. Smith and Calvin Presson of California; sister, Wanda Lewis of Mansfield; three grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great grandchildren. Funeral services will be 10 a.m., Wednesday, Dec. 19, 2012, at Sisco Funeral Chapel of Springdale. Burial will be in Bluff Cemetery. Visitation will be 5-7 p.m., Tuesday.
