One of Alex Reyes' favorite parts in creating a major stage production is the moment before set up.
"I think about it sort of like the calm before the storm," he said. "You know this moment is about to happen."
As the the Associate Company Manager of Disney's Broadway production "Aladdin," it is his job to help direct the logistical symphony of turning an empty theater into 'A Whole New World,' which comes to Fayetteville March 26-31.
"It really reminds you that you can make something out of nothing essentially," he said. "There's no audience. It's quiet. [Then] the next day or the next couple hours, there's a show. The theater fills up. The cast goes on stage. I think it's one of the most fascinating things to experience because you really do go from zero to 100 in the blink of an eye."
The story was updated to correct where Reyes' parents met.
