Summertime is motorcycle time. When the sun shines, the roads of Northwest Arkansas beckon.
Early fall is a pretty great time for riding, too, as the annual Bikes, Blues & BBQ motorcycle rally has proven year after year after year. Thousands of motorcycles roar into our region to sample some great music, some good (and occasionally not-so-good) food and the scenic beauty of the Ozarks.
The rally starts today in Rogers, with a healthy number of events also scheduled in Eureka Springs, a favorite destination for riders. The event continues through Saturday.
Weather forecasts say the next few days will likely involve some rain and, potentially, thunderstorms.
To our motorcycle-riding residents and visitors, please watch yourselves on slick roads and bridges.
And for everyone, let's remember visibility drops when the storms roll in. Keep a watch out for riders rain or shine.
We want them all safely returning home with stories to tell about the outstanding hospitality they'll always remember about their time in Northwest Arkansas.
