Missouri man walking on Arkansas 72 hit and killed by vehicle

BENTONVILLE — A Seligman, Mo., man was killed Monday after he was hit by a vehicle while walking on Arkansas 72, according to a report from the Arkansas State Police.

Matthew Logan, 46, was taken to Northwest Medical Center-Bentonville where he was pronounced dead, according to the report.

Logan was walking at 5:55 a.m. Monday in the highway’s eastbound lane, between Bentonville and Pea Ridge, when he was hit by a black Ford F-150, according to the report.

Pea Ridge police officers were the first to respond and performed CPR on Logan. He was pronounced dead at 6:48 a.m. Monday, according to the report.

The report listed the weather as clear and dry at the time of the accident.
