Letters to the editor and guest columns -Pine Bluff Commercial

The Commercial invites letters to the editor and other commentary. We reserve the right to edit letters for spelling, grammar, length and appropriateness. Letters stand a better chance of being published if they eschew profanity, libel and distortion of known fact and if they are kept to no more than 300 words. Letters from the same writer will not be published more often than every two weeks. Guest columns, which should be kept to no more than 600 words, will be considered from writers who have a close association with the subject about which they are writing.

When submitting a letter or guest column, please include your name, home address, email address and daytime phone number so we can verify your identity. We will only publish your name and the town or city where you live. The Commercial does not print anonymous letters.

Letters may be mailed to: Editor, The Commercial, P.O. Box 6469, Pine Bluff, AR 71611. They can also be placed in our dropbox that is mounted on the wall outside the Third Avenue entrance to the Donald W. Reynolds Community Services Center, located at 211 W. Third Ave. Letters may also be emailed to [email protected].

Letters and guest columns become the property of The Commercial and cannot be returned. By submitting a letter or guest column, you are agreeing to allow the submission to be published in all media.
