San Antonio Missions 8, NW Arkansas Naturals 5

Missions 8, Naturals 5

The Northwest Arkansas Naturals dropped their third straight game to the San Antonio Missions on Thursday night at Arvest Ballpark in Springdale after surrendering five sixth-inning runs.

Naturals starter Alec Marsh allowed 1 run on 4 hits in 5 innings, and after the Missions and Naturals traded RBI singles in the second, the game remained tied 1-1. But San Antonio scored five against Asa Lacy (1-2) in the sixth -- whose ERA swelled to 11.70 -- on five hits and four walks and tacked on lone runs in each of the next two innings.

The Naturals pulled to within 8-4 in the bottom of the eighth on Jake Means' three-run home run, and the tying run reached the on-deck circle in the ninth -- only for Means to fly out and end things.
