Group awards Mercy Hospitals

Mercy Hospital Fort Smith and Mercy Hospital Northwest Arkansas in Rogers each received an A grade in the spring 2021 Leapfrog Hospital Safety Grades, a national distinction recognizing the hospitals' achievements in protecting patients from errors, injuries, accidents and infections. The Leapfrog Group is an independent national watchdog organization committed to health care quality and safety.

Baptist Health offers Aquablation

Urologists at Baptist Health-Fort Smith now offer Aquablation therapy for the treatment of lower urinary tract symptoms due to an enlarged prostate. Drs. John D. Terrell and Kyle Basham will host a seminar at 6:30 p.m. May 20 on the therapy. Register by visiting the Classes and Resources tab at Baptist-Health.com.

Mercy converts Bentonville clinic

Mercy will convert its Convenient Care Clinic -- Highway 102 in Bentonville to a Mercy-GoHealth Urgent Care. The new clinic, at 3101 S.E. 14th St., will open Tuesday. Adults and children ages 6 months and older can be seen for hundreds of common health concerns. Mercy-GoHealth centers feature online pre-registration and check-in, mobile X-ray and virtual visits. All Mercy-GoHealth Urgent Care centers are open from 8 a.m-8 p.m. Monday through Friday and 9 a.m.-5 p.m. on weekends and holidays.
