LIVE! in NWA: Jazz in Bloom Returns; Route 358 Kicks Off FPL Series

The NWA Jazz Society enthusiastically prepares for the return of its annual Jazz in Bloom spring concert, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. today, June 6, at the Botanical Garden of the Ozarks in Fayetteville. The NWA Jazz Society presents the annual spring concert Jazz in Bloom at the Botanical Garden of the Ozarks in Fayetteville from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. today, June 6. Gates open at 6 p.m., and guests will be socially distanced on the BGO lawn. BYO lawn chairs/picnic blankets, food and drink.

Music performances will include members of the Jazz All-Stars Youth Ensemble in the Jazz All-Stars Quartet, along with local jazz icon Claudia Burson with her quintet: Claudia Burson on piano, Ben Harris on guitar, Michael Hanna on sax, Benji Wilson on bass and Darren Novotny on drums.

The Jazz All-Stars Quartet will be the opening act, with Connor Cowart on keys, Ryan Yumang on sax, Charlie Agnacian on bass and Dillon Brouse on drums.

Tickets are $10 (free/Jazz Society members).


Black Note Band will return to Meteor Guitar Gallery at 8 p.m. June 11, 128 W. Central Ave. Tickets are $15-$25. 268-1500;

• Kody West will perform at 8 p.m. June 9 with guest Grady Spencer & The Work; Uncrowned Kings will perform for Happy Hour at 6 p.m. June 11; Sam Riggs with guest The Powell Brothers performs at 9 pm. June 11; and Arkansauce will host a Bluegrass Bash at 8 p.m. June 12 at George's Majestic Lounge, 519 W. Dickson St. 527-6618;

DJ Sewell will present the River Valley Music Fest, a celebration of hip hop and R&B, at 7:30 p.m. June 12 at The Majestic, 817 Garrison Ave. Tickets are $10-$12. 551-2424;

Multi-Platinum rock band 3 Doors Down bring their "The Better Life 20th Anniversary Tour" to the Walmart AMP in Rogers at 8 p.m. Sept 24 with opening act Seether. Tickets range from $29 to $89.50 and went on sale to the public June 4.
