Car at business leads to arrest

North Little Rock Police arrested Harold Kettle, 50 of Sherwood, on drug charges after he was caught with his vehicle backed into a business early Wednesday morning, according to the arrest report.

An officer confronted Kettle at the business on 5010 E. Broadway St., which is known for frequent break-ins, and Kettle gave the officer a different name then fled to his vehicle attempting to escape from police, the report said.

A search of Kettle and his vehicle found a firearm in his waistband, a jar of marijuana, a pill bottle of oxycodone and a scale, according to the report.

Kettle was taken to the Pulaski County jail where he has no bail and is charged with felony possession of a firearm by certain persons, felony simultaneous possession of drugs and firearms, felony possession of oxycodone with purpose, misdemeanor possession of marijuana with purpose, misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia, misdemeanor resisting arrest, misdemeanor obstructing government operations and misdemeanor loitering.

Theft charge filed after disturbance

A Little Rock man was arrested by Jacksonville police on a theft charge after a disturbance at an apartment, according to an arrest report.

Officers responded to the Jasmine Place Apartments at 2213 Linda Lane where Terrance Mason, 46, was harassing a resident, the report said.

Mason then falsely identified himself and was found with a stolen ID card and credit cards, according to the report.

He was taken to the Pulaski County jail where bail was set at $4,260. Mason is charged with felony theft by receiving, misdemeanor obstructing government operations and disorderly conduct.
