Are state leaders doing right thing for citizens?

How do I judge my fellow citizens? The way they treat others; by words, actions and deeds. Do I love them more because they say what they expect me to like and agree with, or do I throw them away when they appear to cast aspersions on those I care about or an activity where many question my intent? Who calms the gale upon the stormy sea of life?

Aren't we doing that with officials who represent us? The governor is supposed to direct and protect all constituents, while instigating policies/laws to better the living and health conditions of the states' citizens. Does it happen? Are we living better with covid, by not having a mask mandate, keeping open businesses that spread the virus?

Is the state Legislature concerned about doing the right thing for citizens? Stand your ground, carry weapons anywhere you want, allow war-designed automatic weapons to be carried on the streets, support the underground militias. Is this making life better in Arkansas?

Where's the better Internet for all; better medical and mental health for all; better housing for homeless and vets on the street; job training for the future, inclusive of prison-released persons; safe, secure schools built; non-suppression of voting rights/requirements?

What are we to think, when many or our representatives in state and federal government from Arkansas are seditionist/cult followers? Is this what we have spiraled into? Where are Lincoln's better angels? Did they decide to fly away home or are they waiting for us to reach out and touch their hands?

Hard-earned freedoms threatened by socialism

As a Green Beret, I think one of my most important assignments was to help evacuate the wounded out of Vietnam. Some of those young men were without arms, legs, eyeballs and some would not make it home alive. In Korea and Vietnam, the whole mission was to stop the spread of communism.

Now with this last election, it seems voters decided to turn away from our time-tested democratic republic form of government and go to socialism, which could morph into communism and even eventually Marxism. Haven't we just trampled on the graves of those who sacrificed so much to give us our freedoms and wonderful form of government we now have? After all of our strife, why are we now giving our country away?
